Meditation

What is Meditation

Meditation is a practice for training and cultivating the mind. The aim is to facilitate the objectives of waking up, liberation, wellbeing and character development. There are a plethora of techniques that train different aspects of the mind's capacity for attending to and navigating experience. Some of the benefits of a regular meditation practice include mental alertness and clarity, calmness of mind, enhanced self-awareness and increased overall wellbeing.

Guided Meditations:

Guided meditation: MWF 8:00-8:35am

The core of which is a 5 part practice inspired by the late Buddhist meditation teacher Thich Nhat Hanh


Meditation, talk and discussion: Monday 7-8pm

Pranayama and Meditation

Pranayama is a form of breath control employed to regulate and discipline the mind. It is an extremely useful practice for cultivating the mind and an indispensable part of a comprehensive meditation practice.
