Yoga practice offers a broad spectrum of methodologies employed to liberate the practitioner from unnecessary suffering. Practices include exercises in breathing, meditation, contemplation, and physical movement. All practices ultimately facilitate a deeper understanding of self and provide a means for aligning oneself with one’s divine nature. Yoga is a living tradition with a long history that is continually defining and reinventing itself. Below are some of the core themes from this broad history that I like to emphasize in my practice and teaching.
Waking up to our innermost
divine nature.
Liberating ourselves from the constraints on our
capacity to fully express our divine nature.
Cultivating excellence of character to
support virtuous living.
Caring for our spiritual, mental, and physical
wellbeing as a form of divine adoration.
